A sight for sore eyes

It may be a sad reminder of the needless waste of human lives, but the Madras War Cemetery, which is the Second World War Memorial of Chennai, is beautifully maintained. There is not a soul in sight and yet it remains free of litter, posters, hangers-on and plastic. What is the secret?

I agree with your title. Every time I pass by the place, I think to myself: that simply can’t be Madras!

(Although, during the rainy season, I’ve seen it flooded with most of the tombstones partly under water.)

Sriram, I have been a fan of your blog for a while and you do a fantastic job. Keep up the good work. When will we get to see places outside chennai thro’ your lens and views?

    Best wishes.
