The Kapali Ther

Having to earn the daily bread meant I could not be present when the car festival was held. But I went in the evening to see the ther. Kapali was still ensconced in it, but the queue for climbing into the chariot and having darshan was daunting. So I stayed at ground level and offered my prayers.

Kapali Ther

For the first time in several years I noticed a cone loudspeaker attached to the ther. Guess Kapali needs a horn to now make his way through the crowds. Welcome to Chennai’s traffic Kapali.
